Aham Nirvana is for people who often arrive tired, unwell, or in difficulty. A website that is hard to use is a poor way to meet them. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the Platform.
This statement says where we actually stand, including what is not finished. We would rather tell you that than claim a standard we have not tested against.
We run automated accessibility testing (axe-core, covering WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 at levels A and AA) against the public pages. Most checks pass.
We have not yet completed a full manual audit. Automated tools verify roughly a third of the WCAG criteria; the rest — keyboard operation, screen reader behaviour, focus order, and the newer WCAG 2.2 criteria such as minimum target size — require testing by a person. That work is planned and not done.
So we do not currently claim WCAG 2.2 AA conformance. We are working towards it.
The payment step is not ours. Card details are handled inside a checkout window provided by Razorpay, our payment processor, so that they never reach our servers. That window is their software and we cannot change what is inside it. Testing found problems there we have reported to them: a button with no name, text below the contrast minimum, and a setting that prevents zooming on a phone. We have given the window itself a name so you at least know what it is when you reach it. If the payment step is not usable for you, email **namaste@ahamnirvana.com** and we will take the booking and payment another way.
This list is what we know about. It is not a guarantee that nothing else is wrong, and we will update it as the audit progresses.
The public pages pass automated WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A and AA testing with no violations, including with menus open.
We have also checked by hand, against the criteria added in WCAG 2.2:
The Platform is built with standard HTML semantics, headings, form labels and alternative text throughout. Text meets the 4.5:1 contrast minimum. Pages resize and reflow without loss of content, and colour is not used as the only means of conveying information.
If you cannot use part of the Platform, please tell us — it is the fastest way for us to fix it, and a report about a real task you were trying to complete is more useful to us than any audit.
Email **namaste@ahamnirvana.com** with:
We read every one. If something is blocking you from booking a session, say so and we will help you complete it directly while we fix the underlying problem.
If the website is not workable for you for any reason, email **namaste@ahamnirvana.com** and we will arrange a session for you without it.
Accessibility is not a project we intend to finish and file away. When we complete the manual audit we will update this statement with the result, including anything that remains outstanding.
